The Venue is a renovated and refurbished community hall that belongs to the community. Lottery funding back in 2003 enabled the transformation of a run-down village hall into a modern, accessible community facility that now provides an ideal meeting space for community groups, clubs and classes.
The Venue is run by the Trustees of Laurencekirk Youth & Community Venture (a registered charity).

The Mearns Community Food Larder is open from 2 to 4pm every Tuesday afternoon, and will now be running through til Easter 2022.
It stocks basic foodstuffs (eg. tinned soups/meat/veg and dried pasta, rice, noodles, etc.) and tea/coffee/juice.
All food is free and is available to anyone who needs a helping hand at this time.
No registration is necessary, though contact details must be taken to comply with the Track & Trace system.
The Larder is very grateful for the support of all who have donated to date - either through funding or private donations. We would be unable to operate without you!
Covid 19 update - We continue to be open for business and, while users still have to wear a mask on entering and walking round the hall, and to remember the importance of good hand hygiene, it IS possible for community groups and exercise classes to meet up and safely carry on with day-to-day life. - So please do get in touch if you wish to discuss hiring the hall or meeting room.
If you have any suggestions or comments, want to arrange a visit, or just want to get involved with The Venue in any way - please do get in touch
